Highland Hops & Vines is pleased to announce that it is under new ownership!

Well, sort of.

Owner Adam Bossin is still very much the man behind the popular Highland Heights wine, beer and cigar shop he co-launched in 2012. But as of November 1, he has teamed up with Megan
Buehrer —formerly the wine manager of The Wine Spot in Cleveland Heights — who now joins him as an investor and operating partner.

Buehrer is more than just the friendly face you’ll now be seeing daily at Highland Hops & Vines. Prior her successful stint at The Wine Spot, the Aurora native — by way of Little Italy — she
spent almost a decade in the beverage industry in New York City, eventually serving as the wine manager of Manhattan’s renown Bottlerocket Wine & Spirit. Megan is WSET Advanced certified
and is your own personal guru for all things related to wine, beer, cocktails and food pairings.

“I’ve learned so much at every stop I’ve made in my career,” says Buehrer. “New York was where I first fell in love with wine and knew I wanted to study it. The Wine Spot was where I
learned how eager the people of this area are to learn and experience new wine regions and varietals and flavor profiles. I cherished my time, there, and I’m looking forward to bringing all
my experience, and everything I’ve learned along the way into this new adventure with Adam.”

Most importantly for our customers, Buehrer, like Bossin, has a rich history with Cleveland’s east side. Her family has lived in Little Italy, Mayfield Heights and Highland Heights for
generations. The two have known one another since Buehrer’s older sister and Bossin became friends at the University of Toledo, more than 20 years ago.

“I can’t think of a better match,” says Bossin. “Megan and I have known each other for over two decades — I won’t confirm or deny if I was present when she had her first drink. But I couldn’t
be more thrilled that the stars have aligned to allow us to work together like this, today.”

Bossin and Buehrer say people should expect a revamped and carefully curated selection of both wine and beer, as well as more in-store events and VIP tastings.

“We want to be all about the customer,” says Bossin. “Megan brings with her not just a wealth of knowledge, but also that personal touch that makes customers remember her and keep
coming back. I can’t wait for customers to come in and meet her.”
